Toxicology Services serves as a collection site to do DNA paternity
testing through Paternity/Genetics Solutions. DNA Parentage
Testing is the most reliable and powerful method of proving
or disproving parentage for legal, personal or medical reasons.
It conclusively answers difficult questions, resolves disputes,
helps streamline court proceedings and facilitates pretrial settlements.
Los
Angeles County records show that 502 innocent men took DNA tests
in the past 15 months to escape government action against them.
In the Journal of American Medical Association, Vol. 164, No. 3,
page 249 shows one in five men who "admit" paternity are
often wrong.
Preventing
Fraud
If you are an attorney on either side of a divorce action or a child
support action, insist on a paternity test. If you are the
mother’s attorney, protect your client. Don’t
let her commit fraud or perjury.

Congress has required states to adopt laws that mandate all parties
in a contested paternity case to obtain a genetic test when one
party requests them to.

The
University of Utah DNA Diagnostic Laboratory
Performs the DNA paternity testing. The Laboratory is accredited
by the American Association of Blood Banks and the College of American
Pathologists. University of Utah Diagnostic Laboratory performed
approximately 28,000 tests in 1997.
Painless
and Easy
DNA collections are performed simply by using a cotton swab to
collect cheek cells.
Test
results
A notarized report of the results will be sent to the clients and
attorneys 15 working days after the DNA paternity laboratory receives
all of the samples.
